yup again basketball players dont have the stamina tbh, most cant even play 48 minutes with constant breaks and time outs

at least soccer players have the endurance of long distance sprinters and have increible skill levels and even then lots wouldnt make it as boxers

the nfl is a joke of a sport any person who calls themselves an athlete shouldnt have to go off for oxygen after standing on the spot having a pushing battle:lol:

99% of the nfl would actually die of heart attacks if they had to play a full game of rugby

If you are 175-220 pounds, there are only a few positions you can play in professional football, and most of them require a lot of foot speed. The best boxers are not track guys....like NFL Receivers or defensive backs are.

You could argue that some athletes from 230-260 could make good heavyweights. And we see a few football players giving boxing a try once they know the NFL is not an option. None of them have really panned out.

If you ever saw basketball players fight, you'd quickly know they are not meant for boxing.

    ya he knows nothing

rugby players makes better fighters than nfl players, there better all round athletes and can actually run around for longer than 10 seconds without needing oxygen

Sonny Bill WIlliams and Anthony Mundine are good examples

You mean guys like Seth Mitchell? Stop it dude. NFL and NBA aren't taking your black 'Klitschkos' out of boxing.

It's a theory that make you feel better so you cay say: 'Yeah we got good heavies but they are just playing different sport.'

if your on about Jarryd Hayne first off he plays rugby league you idiot not rugby union and he wasnt even an international player:lol:

not one nfl player could make it in rugby union, they cant live without there padding and steriods:lol: and they wont get a break every 10 seconds for oxygen:lol:

i doubt any rugby player would want to play a pus.sy sport like nfl lmfao padding is for quee.rs:lol:

Are you crazy there are plenty of positions you can play at 175-225 RB QB WR Safety and CB.:deal Just like they're are plenty that you could play heavier than that. DE, LB and TE.

You keep bringing up these older guys with little to no experience who couldn't make it in the NFL. Boxing isn't the type of sport you can really pick up late in life. You need to start young just like these football players did most started playing football at 12 or younger. These late bloomers aren't good examples starting a pro boxing career in your 20s with little to no experience is usually a recipe for disaster.

Americans seem to forget that other countries play other sports too.

Boxing is a mugs game. If you're a gifted athlete, why go into a sport which is way down the list in terms of popularity and money, but involves a higher risk of brain damage?

people will say the NFL/NBA but they have been around for 75 years. Plus there have been several NFL players that tried Boxing and have been absolute failures.
