Why did Andre Ward duck James degale to fight Paul smith?

    I really feel this has been over looked

    Degale called him out he was seen as the guy at 168 and ward never even entertained him degale even said in one clip he sent out a contract and ward not even entertained the fight.

    james was actively pursing ward

    Ward instead went of to fight paul smith

    Ward should of took on degale and beat him then moved up

    i remember watching clips of James getting fustrated with ward not accepting the fight ward acted like james never existed and went on to fight paul smith.

    I would of liked ward to at least to unify and reclaim his spot at 168 but he never

    Well we have two different stories, one was Ward was fighting Smith at 172 and still hanging around 168 for a potential Golovkin fight.

    And we have the another one of Ward couldn't make 168 any longer so the DeGale fight was never a possibility.

    DeGale called out both Ward and Froch, Froch retired but there were talks and Ward said he couldn't make 168 any longer.

    Ward would have made far more money fighting DeGale than Golovkin and if Ward had the minerals to come to the UK to fight DeGale it would have been huge.

    Well if Ward fans insist Ward genuinely wanted to fight Golovkin when they say he did then Ward ducked DeGale.

    Can't have it any other way.

    ward is such a ducking coward hes fighting an unbeaten lhw champ that is a top 5 ranked p4p fighter...lol

    was degale gonna fight him at 175? I thought ward couldn't make 168 like you guys said when ggg turned him down? didn't you guy say hunter said ward couldn't make 168 anymore?

    Come on...

    Ward's last fight at SMW was against Rodriguez 11/13. At that time DeGale was basically a novice champ with a 16-1 record,, who had lost to his only name opponent in his home country. What's the point?

    ward couldnt make 168? i thought you said he could and was waiting for ggg?

    funny you cant answer the question...was degale gonna fight him at 175? you guys claim ward couldn't make 168 anymore anyway...did degale say 175? I don't recall him saying that...
