He knew DeGale's slickness and boxing ability would be too much for him

Stop acting like you don't want to see that fight. You know the point is to fight Kovalev.

"Duck" is a strong word. He choose to move up in weight. And Paul Smith was a tune up at an unfamiliar weight after a long layoff. Why would he fight Degale as a tune up? Let's give James a little more credit here. Let that fight simmer. Let Ward conquer another division, and Degale keep winning. And I promise, Degale can move up and clean up the leftovers, like at 168. Lol.

The biggest fight in boxing (that is likely to happen) is Ward vs Kovalev. Degale doesn't fit into that picture right now.

We're talking about Ward here why are you bringing up GGG? Talk about GGG in another thread I'm not interested in having another GGG debate.

DeGale was going to bash Ward up plain and simple, stylistically Ward doesn't like other boxers, he's not really even fought one. The closest to it that is a human and not a corpse is who, Allan Green? Says it all.

This is also the reason why Ward ducked Bute and Dirrel. Bute apparently didn't fight anybody and Dirrel was his "friend"... Lmfao.

He should of took on the pin at 168 which was degale at the time but he ran from him to fight paul smith

he could of fought degale and beat him and then moved up

Both sides are accusing the other of double standards. To clear this up I'm going to ask Legend and Shockmaster the same question: Do you think Ward could have made 168?

I don't want Abel Sanchez or anyone else's take on it. Just yours. Go.

    absolutely

he did 171 for the smith fight....why else would he? he let smith weigh in over the limit...smith weighed in at 176.....ward was keeping his weight halfway between 168-175 in case ggg wanted to fight....I think that was the only 168 fight he would have considered.....only one that interested him

Ward is a big fanny. Wet and flappy like khan's foo. A bit too labial for my liking.
