Why did Andre Ward duck James degale to fight Paul smith?

the buzz phrase bothers you because it has never been, nor ever will be, applied to your favorite fighter.....just wallowing in mediocre(that's generous) garbage......

 

someone who is a ggg fanboy please explain why ward kept his weight at 171 for the smith fight while allowing smith to weigh 176.....why was wards weight exactly between 168-175?

he ducked ward to fight a guy that got stopped Rubio and outpointed by joachime alcine...he ducked ward to fight dom wade and a welterweight in 2016!....lets just hand ggg the 2016 fighter of the year award right now! what a legend....I think they should erect a statue of ggg and abel sanchez outside of MSG for all the memorable events and great fights, that shall be revered for generations, hes held there

It don't bother me, the phrase is just stupid when applied to a fighter who is fighting a man in his own weight class.

I haven't got a favourite fighter at this moment in time, I like quite a few.

Nigel Benn was my favourite fighter for many years, I saw him fight live many times. I repeat, I'm British so many of my favourite fighters are British.

Golovkin didn't want Ward period is more accurate actually. Lil' g wanted an old Froch at 168, a doped up, fruit loops eating, pink undies wearing, JCC Jr at 168, and Edwin Rodriquez at 164. But, he never wanted Ward, let's be clear on that.

Ward is daring to be great. Because, he is not waiting to challenge the best. He is coming off a near 2 year layoff and multiple injuries, moving up in weight to face one of the biggest punchers and top P4P fighters in the sport right now. (Meanwhile Lil 'g is living up to his moniker by by bringing WWs up to MW)

Ward doesn't need to move to cruiser to achieve the same thing. He is giving up size to Kovalev at LHW. Who the fock is at CW anyway? Lol. Please stop with the bullsh!t. Is there even a CW who is in the top 10 P4P right now? FOH.

Why didn't he fight DeGale in a far bigger money fight?

 

ur a guy who could easily make a 168 fight if he wants...like ward wanted to do with golovkin...it was the only 168 fight he wanted or was considering.....so when ggg told him he wanted no parts he moved fully to 175 in order to take on a beast in kovalev instead of fighting a boxer like degale that no one cared to see him fight

 

Of course Kathy and Kovalev were ready to fight Ward coming off a near 2 year layoff from injuries, etc. Of course they were. [emoji57]

Why wouldn't he need a few tuneups, given the situation, is the question? Evidently, Kovalev needed them too, given how he looked against Chilemba.[emoji1]
