My issue with this is the times Joshua has been stopped, his fans try to simplify the loss by saying he was "anxious" or "froze" and that it robbed him of his skills somehow. The truth is that this totally ignores what the other fighter was doing. Styles make fights. Joshua got beaten in many different elements of the fight against Dubois; he got outboxed, out countered, out punched, and Dubois' defense was very good (so good that Joshua landed only one significant shot in 5 rounds).

The "groove" you reference is the one significant shot he landed. Dubois was clear headed and put himself in a position to throw heavy counters immediately after (including the one that won by KO).

Similar to the Ruiz fight, he clearly has no idea what to do when a fighter is walking at him, waiting for him to throw, then countering in combination. It's a skill issue, not an anxiety or chin issue.

Joshua has always been a mental midget and this side of his game has let him down before, during his ring walk he had that same forlorn look like he had for Ruiz 1 and he simply looked a beaten man before a punch was even thrown. No doubt Joshua was over thinking the sparring stories from years earlier with Dubois and then despite entering the face off interview full of himself he clearly did not have the same look about him when he left as he was unable to intimidate Dubois at all ! Just watch Dubois ring walk for the fight and then watch Joshua’s,it speaks volumes .
