Why did anyone give Arthur the 3rd rd.?

What are people seeing in rd 5 that makes it a “clear Beterbiev rd”? Is it because he managed to land a clean jab and right hand to the body? What about the clean jabs and right hands he took to the face from Bivol throughout the rd?

Discussions are good, discussions are great and that's exactly why I love this fight, it's the most honestly debated fight I've ever seen on this forum.

My point really is when people try applying objective measure to subjective scoring in close rounds.

 

Your emotional response which is clearly underpinned in your post.

Ultimately you feel the first two minutes of this round mean Bivol should win it as you think it's more noteworthy than the final minute.

I don't intend to correct you, speak from any level of authority, or talk down to you. You scored it how you scored it, I scored it how I scored it.

 

The people that scored it for Beterbiev are literally scoring blocked punches and Beterbiev's fearsome reputation
"Ooh those punches look so scary! Beterbiev round!"
Theres no other way to score for Beterbiev. None.

No, not crazy at all. I have no problem whatsoever with someone thinking Bivol won that round.

On the rbr I said myself it could be 8-4 to either fighter it was an insanely close fight.

I just wanna see it again now.

I have no emotion or bias neither Beterbiev or Bivol are my favourite fighters I don't care for either of them personally although I respect their achievements.

You're calling me out for a single round yet I had Bivol ahead 6-3 after 9 rounds so why don't you show that part of the post aswell if I'm so biased ?

I see someone recently have Bivol winning 2 out of the 3 last rounds which I think is worse than me having Beterbiev winning round 3 and having a 6-3 lead after 9 rounds.

I've never seen anyone make a whole thread about a single round and you're saying I have emotion or bias ? I watched the fight scored it gave my opinion and moved on. I'm not stressing over a fight days after it happened.

The fact is it was a close fight Beterbiev won the last 3 rounds according to the majority of fans and most importantly the 3 judges hence Beterbiev won a close fight based on finishing the fight stronger.
