Why did BHop duck a rematch when Tito was on his knees begging for one?

show me a list of fights where the loser doesnt ever have some kind of excuse when he loses
hopkins had excuses when he lost to roy jones the first time, both times to jermain taylor....tito had them for hopkins, oscar had them for tito , its part of a boxers ego

Puerto Ricans used this excuse for Juanma. Marital problems and lack of focus are two of Puerto ricos best excuses.

So they take knees, have glass jaws and recycle excuses? It must be sad to be a Puerto rican boxing fan lol.

there was no need for a rematch, hopkins cleary showed that tito was out of his depth fighting at 160, a point that was re-inforced even further when winky wright boxed tito's head off.

tito had been knocked down 7 times as a 147 fighter and had no business fighting at 160. it seems that tito managed to fool many gullable observers that he could fight at 160 by beating joppy, but at the end up the day - who the **** had joppy ever beaten?

Tito didn't lose to Hopkins or Winky because they were too big for him. He lost because they were too good for him.

Hopkins won every round. Maybe we need a rematch of Hopkins-Pavlik also?

yeah, b-hop was too good for him at 160, just like he was too good for oscar at 160, neither fighter belonged at 160.

everytime b-hop fought at an elite fighter at a fair weight, he lost (jones, taylor twice, calzaghe).

BHop TKO12 Trinidad is one of the worse beatings given by an underdog to the favourite of all time.

    - BHop dominated all 12 rounds, then knocked Trinidad out.
    - BHop went over to Puerto Rico and disrespected Trinidad and his country openly.
    - BHop bet money on himself to win

    -----------------------------------------------------

Tell me a time when the underdog has given the favourite such a beatdown?

There was no controversy. B'Nard got every PRican pissed and the NYC atmosphere was already heavy after 9-11. Tito went for it and Nard manoeuvred him to find a perfect finish which leaves no space for any rematch. Why doesn't Tito rematch with Winky too then?

Tito clearly lost that fight between the two. if it was a close fight, then I could see a need for a rematch, but that's not the case.

This may come as a shock to you but I don't happen to keep a list of fighters who take losses without excuses. I wasn't saying Tito was whinning because he lost. I also understand fighters have a different mentality than most people and sometimes that enables them to get over a loss without feeling like a lesser fighter. My point was Trinidad was having marital problems, wieght problems (this is actually a new for me), was accused as a cheater and was also affected by the post-ponement of the fight because he stayed helping out the people from NY while BHop stayed in Philladelphia. Those are a lot of things going against you before a big fight. I personally don't give too much importance to the excuses because that would be unfair to Hopkins. But saying Trinidad had excuses for his loss is not wrong. Some fighters don't make excuses, others do. The rematch would've been interesting to me, but I understand why some people might have not been up for it.

  15. Hopkins spanked that ass and had no reason to spank it again. Looking back, Tito was really never a dominant fighter again aside from the Mayorga deal... There is no reason to think Trinidad would have done any better during a rematch. As far as the "controversy" goes... there was no controversy in that fight, all the controversy was before/after.. what happened in the fight was pretty clear cut. Felix got routed.
