Something is wrong with this rating, 1 heavyweight fight and a win over Enzo Mac, does not deserve a top 10 rating, especially at # 5, ahead of Povetkin. He has only beaten a top 50 heavy. I think he should prove himself first at this weight. Just odd because boxrec is usually conservative and this is out of charactor for them....Somebody got to somebody......Haye should at least beat a top 20 guy...am I wrong

OK, Haye doesn't deserve to be above Povetkin, but other than him, who else would you put above Haye? I would definitely say no-one. When Pacquiao moved up to lightweight or Mayweather moved up to welterweight, there's no point in ignoring the obvious and putting them at no.15 or something until they beat up a ranked fighter at their new weight, when they are clearly better than most of the top 10. Boxrec should have placed Haye at 6, IMO that's fair. He is a very talented guy, and was unified cruiserweight champion.

He was a unified champ. He wasn't undisputed, but he was unified.

how is the thread old? He just posted it today. Do you mean we've talked about boxrecs shitty rankings? I agree, we've talked about them on this site for years.

Wrong. He had 4 of the 5 recognised titles at CW. That is a unified champ. Any 2 titles qualifies as a unified champ, the guy had 4. By many authorities such as the WBA that is also considered an undisputed champ.

If you add in the fact that the IBF title that Mormeck lost to Bell did not come back when he beat him in the return match, and it was not lost in the ring, Haye also has a strong case for the linear IBF champ.

Its notable that Cunningham said jack **** about Haye when a fight could have been made then piped up as soon as he was sure Haye was going to heavyweight for a bit of free publicity and has since done squat about getting hold of any of those vacant belts.

Does anyone actualy think cunningham would beat haye?

    I mean seriously :patsch

The reason haye ranks highly is because of his cruiserweight resume it travels up with a percentage of points coming off for moving up a divison:deal plus he is ranked 5 wbc rank 3 wbo

He has never beaten a top 50 heavyweight, yes he was Cruiserweight champ but to break into the top 10 with out fighting someone at that weight class is wrong

If I remember correctly Boxrec didn't rank B-Hop at LHW until he beat Tarver...so this is rather suspicious.

It has been said a thousand times here "you go to Boxrec for info, not rankings".
