    actually guys................

    Shannon was a blast during fight week. Yeah he talks **** and screams and yells, but then he would turn to us and WINK and laugh a little. Shannon was very respectful to all of us when the cameras werent around.

    The brothers actually became friends with Shannon... we all did. Nice guy when it was all over and very very respectful of the brothers.

    I have totally changed my thoughts about Shannon...... great guy when not tryong to promote a fight

    Well Briggs isn't a brawler and to be fair is shot. Only Lewis and Sanders have been able to get inside on Vitali. Lewis did it by just walking Vitali down which he was able to do as he is not much smaller than Vitali. Sanders did it by letting Vitali come to him and using his speed to counter back by rushing him as he came in.

    Briggs doesn't have the skill or speed to do this. Maybe he could have done it in his prime when he wasn't so overly muscled but that Briggs is long gone.

    Everybody has a gameplan. In this case it was cha-ching cha-ching, and to finish the fight so as not to be labeled as losing by TKO.

    Because he's a boxer? Our sport is called sweet science because it's chess play rather than brothel brawl - even the very aggressive Tyson used ring IQ (damn high IQ) to rip opponents apart, he didn't just go in there swinging, but had a good read on the opponents and this feeling for the openings, and went for them. Of course, where many failed, Douglas and Holyfield had him Mike confused with their style and traps and Tyson was neutralized for the most part.

    Briggs, Peter, Arreola, Johnson and the talented Juan Carlos Gomez, they all went in there to box or punch with Vitali, yet they never got that feeling on Vitali, and the worst thing can happen to a boxer is being confused by the opponent. That makes Pacquiao the fighter he is today, unpredictablity, inability to read. With Wlad, most opponents actually start boxing/fighting, just ending up blocked or clinched then getting jabbed apart from distance, but with Vitali, they can't even start out. Very interesting, because Vitali is right in their face with two hands down, yet offers no opening or clean target, opponents are confused when and what and where to throw, and even more confused when they take a guess and get punched in the face in return. Briggs didn't just go in there to (with)stand Vitali's assualt, but that's what he was reduced to. It's called sweet science.

    For years, Shannon said he was an all-action fighter and that's how to beat a Klitschko. Then, when he gets his chance...little action and a lot of standing there taking hits. Pity.

    you dont box with a greater boxer like Vitali..

    did i say just go in there swinging? put "hands up" obviously, close the distance, get in on the inside, throw bombs, more agression, make it a fight.

    Brawlers = dempsey, tyson, liston...

    Because he had a crappy gameplan. Ideally he should have swarmed all over him, slipping punches and banging to the head and body. But him and every other heavyweight lacks the conditioning and infighting skill to pull that off. Sad really

    i agree except i think haye is the only other hw who can do it,

    he has the conditioning/athletism and also seems a lot more intelligent when it comes to fighting.

    he is the only hope if the klits beat him fair play.
