Why did Briggs stand and try box with Vitali?

    haye doesn't really have the infighting skills. when he's up close he just bangs away a lot, starts slugging. He COULD tee off on Wlad to get a KO, but I just dont see it happening

    because thats what the 77th ranked heavyweight in the world is supposed to do....thats why hes ranked #77 and the other guy was #2 :deal

    He tried to knock Vitali out the only way he knew how. A tiger isn't going to change his stripes, especially at the end of his career. He was going for the KO, but he wasn't going to suddenly start bobbing and weaving or something.

    And I'd say his gameplan was a lot better than, say, Elvin Ayala against David Lemieux.

    Briggs had no plan he relied on his right hand like he did in all of his fights.

    Vs Lewis he tried to land the big one then thats all he did the rest of the fight

    all his fights its right hand bomb KO or nothing

    His only chance was just to catch Vitali coming in and giving up his height like Sanders did in round 1

    Briggs aint a mover or a combo puncher or a slick crafty guy he relied on the right
