Lacy was ranked #3 by The Ring and favored by many so-called experts when he fought Calzaghe. That doesn't stop people from calling him a worthless hype job. Same should apply to Lucian.

Froch doesn't respect his skills nor his power, if they fight again rest assured the same result will be on the cards!

We try to find an explanation, because Froch didn't demolish in this way fighters like Johnson who was completely dominated by Bute or fighters like Magee who hold his own and was close on points until the stoppage, but he did it against Bute.

Johnson has punch resistance ..... Bute has none.
Johnson doesn't hit hard ... Froch is a heavy handed beast.

I've seen a few people use the Wlad analogy, but I'm not sure I buy it.

IMO opinion Wlad was able to come back because the level of competition in his division allowed him to. Heavyweight is a shallow division. Wlad also has MASSIVE physically advantages which allow him to avoid his weaknesses being exposed.

Bute has to fight in a division with guys his own size. He also didn't have a fall from grace where he was top dog and took a loss to a guy he shouldnt, he was a 3-5 ranked contender who was stepping up for the first time.

If he wants to come back then he'd have to show us something we've not seen from him yet and beat a guy on the level of a Kessler, Froch or Ward. With his age and limited experience I don't see how he does this.

Bute hasn't been in a ring with a A-level fighter like Froch and co. I guess that's it, no more conclusions need to be made. Froch was a level better.

That was 2 3 levels above what Bute showed. And Bute ain't that bad. Bute looked like a cab driver.

Bute is just too soft IMO. He had expected to dictade the fight with his boxing skill. Froch looked like he was ready to die when he entered. I think he was hunted by his losses to Ward and Kessler. He knew he could lose to better boxers and feared it would happen in front of all his fans. Once he realised he was about to pull it off he was going all out.

That was Froch's best day seriously, and Bute's worst.

That is a big lesson for Bute and his camp.... Bute only worked at offence because he never really needed to work on defence as of YET.

From now on, Bute will be a better rounded fighter.

Bute was a good fighter before saturday night and hes still a good fighter now that Froch obliterated him.

Bute may not have fought the level of comp Froch has faced,but he still had a pretty decent resume going into this fight. Hes beatne a host of top 10 supermiddleweights.

Chances are he'll never be able to beat Froch or people of a similiar level, but al;so bear in mind being dominated for a few rounds like he was against Froch doesnt make him a terrible fighter.

Joe Frazier had his ass kicked against Foreman.

Duran was beaten down like a dog against hearns.

Patterson was knocked down 7 times in one round by Ingemar Johanson yet came back and won tne next fight between the 2.

Some people get popped early and they never recover. It happens.

He is a fighter who's been made with hard work and endless hours of training repeating the techniques and making them look like he had them all along. But he didn't.

He rose himself in high regard in boxing in rankings in boxing experts and specialists opinion more by hard work then talent alone. So I believe Bute is more of a Boxer-Puncher then a Slick Southpaw but he was trained and built like a Slick Southpaw.
His team from Interbox have trained him to have great head-movement have trained his footwork and made him into a Power Counter-puncher.
They trained his jab and a pretty decent one but not top notch, like you need at elite level. The elite level Froch was on. I underestimated him.

Froch took everything out of him with so little,just to little, so little that's painful for a fan to admit, only one good punch.He hurt him with one good punch. Bute doesn't have a glass chin but he gets hurt to easily by top lvl power. Froch took his footwork, vital to his defense, probably took some of his power as well when putting the hurt on him, legs tend to go and you don't have the same reflexes and snap to your punches.

Bute was stripped of everything he's learned in boxing, he was left with his natural instincts with some of his power the natural punching power he was born with and the uppercut who he'll never forget because is one of the few thing hes had all along, from the begging it's is his own weapon and not built into him, forced into him by endless hours of training.

Later when hurt but still hoping still trying still fighting, cuz he was The Champion and cuz he isn't a quiter, when he was trying to recover and re-enter the zone where he acts like the boxer he been bred to be as a pro Froch took his confidence to. When he took his best shot his uppercut to the body, blocked it and smiled back at him as in "This is all what you've got".

After that moment I think Bute was left with nothing more then his surviving instinct, he didn't had the animal instinct to strike back that probably Froch put in the same situation would of had. He's going for the kill you need to strike back and try to save yourself, get back in the fight!Bute's personality is not like that he's not a natural born fighter, he is a calm friendly non-aggressive type of guy in his day by day life. Froch has stripped him of everything and left him with his core, his soul, and Bute couldn't find the fighter in him anymore because he is not a natural born fighter.

Now his and his team big mistake was that they didn't had anything good enough to keep Froch at bay at distance a distance that seems so vital for Bute to unleash his best punches, and he didn't take the initiative to go on attack if he could not defend well.

Some say that Bute doesn't have any defense, but he does, only that Froch took it all away with his first hurting punch. His footwork and reflexes were not the same. His footwork is not natural it is trained, he was left with limited reflexes he used on the ropes with body movement trying to survive.

The fighting style that his trainer Larouche imbedded into him it's not bad not bad at all the bad thing is that He forgot it all because it's not natural, it is not him. Him being more of a boxer-puncher. Bute was reduced to the natural boxer-puncher but an inexperienced one cuz he didn't fight like that much. He neded to ramain calm and self-contained to impoze the style his been bread into since becoming pro.

Froch took this victory with a shared of his soul.

I'm a Bute fan and I hope he takes a rematch in Canada and fix the mistakes he did in this fight. And even if he loses again, at least he'll do it like the boxer his been trained to be. Not the amateur I've seen in Nottingham.

He just froze after he took the first punches. He wasnt expecting them. He went into the fight overconfident, thinking he's gonna dictate everything. Instead, Froch landed a few and Bute just stood there and took every punch thrown. I mean look at his footwork if you can even call it that, it was like an amateur. I cant really understand how something like this can happen at this "supposed" level. It was painful to watch. Bute went to war without any weapons. The aggressive factor was non existant.

Hope someone on Bute's team smacks him in the face and does something about his attitude. Bute can still comeback with the right state of mind.

As his fan, i really didnt like all that nice guy attitude before the fight. You could see Froch was focused and had "mean" written all over his face while Bute looked as if he was going clubbing.
