Was he scheduled to fight someone else, apparently he turned down froch demands twice and froch said he would fight him in his home town, Wouldave been a ******* with bute probably decisioning him UD12
Why did Froch decide not to fight Bute in the IBF eliminator, preferring instead to fight the man Bute had just shut out?
When the IBF ran an eliminator for a shot at Berrio's IBF title. Bute was the No.1 contender, Froch was No.2. But Froch didn't fancy it, and they went down the list until they got to Bika, who accepted to face Bute. To answer your question: negotiations didn't really take off. Froch wanted Bute to fight him in England, then he agreed to come to Montreal when he realised negotiations were going nowhere. I'm not sure how much money was on the table from each side, though. One of those things. Boxing is a business. But even after it was clear that nothing would happen, Froch went on calling Bute out, knowing there was no chance of the fight happening. Got him some attention though.
Bute would have knocked Froch for six. Probably the worst match-up for Froch possible. Bute eats guys with poor fundamentals for breakfast.
True, but Froch decided to go the WBC route and Bute/Froch was touted as a possible eliminator when they were #2 and #3 respectively.
No... we've gone over this ten times before. Bute was already champ when Froch decided to go the WBC route. The only route available to Bute and Froch was the IBF - Andrade was mandatory challenger for Kessler's WBC/WBA and Calzaghe had the WBO.
Thanks for clearing that up Decebal, do you think Butes a LIght heavy weight small cruiser weight even though he makes weight he looks huge
Bute ducked him, cos unlike Andrade, Froch actually can bang, and having been outboxed for 11 rounds, he would have smashed 7 shades of **** out of Bute in the last round, and not even the referee could have saved Bute. It would have been just like Taylor-Froch.
No. Bute's a big SMW. For his last two fights, he's changed his training regime and now he finds it a bit easier to make weight. He still comes in at just under 178 lbs one day after the weigh-in and then he comes into the ring at around 184 lbs, but then, so do all the big SMWs. Obviously, a big SMW like Bute could easily fight at LHW... he just wouldn't have to dehydrate.
Thats sounds logical, I have to say Bute is a special Calibre fighter, Under second observation he reminds me so much of Calzaghe the way he fights, everytime I seee his fight i can see a comparison, maybe i mistaken but its uncanny, even his deamanour
Possibly, but Bute was lucky not to have a KO loss on his record in his 1st fight with Andrade. He made good in the return but that dosent mean the first fight didnt happen, and I think Froch is alot better than Andade.
Yeah and Bute is a lot more better than Taylor . How close was Taylor to beat Froch ..few seconds ... u see it goes both ways .
