Why did Canelo beat Kovalev? Was it a fixed fight? Was Kovalev incredibly declined? Did he fight the wrong fight? Was Canelo on roids? Or is Canelo just that amazing and we should all stop hating?
The Yarde fight showed us where current Kovalev was at. Yarde would have been obliterated by Bivol, Beterbiev or Gvozdyk.
I want to click 2, Kov Old and Canelo Steroids. Canelo is a PROVEN drug cheat and I personally believe he has juiced most of his career and I personally believe he still does. Kov was nearly stopped by the hype job Yarde and looked old and worn in that fight, plenty of stories about his drinking and stuff. Also Canelo didn't wait and challenge Beterbiev because he would rather fight an old and worn Kovalev. Anyway I'll go with Steroids because it's a FACT Canelo is a proven drug cheat.
Because Canelo is a class above Kovalev. Canelo is one of the most serious and dedicated champions today. He is also a very smart fighter that can change his game plan in the ring if necessary.
I agree Mr S88. We all said it before the fight but Canelo fanboys want to forget we all said Kov was done.
Clenbuterol is not a steroid and Canelo has been under VADA testing for more than a year straight now. Go cry
Bit of Kov shot and a bit of Canelo skill. You didn't put rehydration and time after the Yarde fight up.
I really do find how you think that clenbuterol not being a 'steroid' - but agree it's a performance enhancing drug - is some kind of ingenious loophole that means that failed test shouldn't be held against Canelo really funny.
Hold it against him, that's fine. Just be consistent in your hate. Many fighters have failed tests such as Klitschko, Saunders, Fury, Jones Jr. And many others. We tend to give them the benefit of the doubt from time to time depending on circumstance. With Canelo, he proved he wanted to clear his name and took a hair follicle test, enrolled in VADAs most stringent program and even then looked better in the rematch with GGG then the first fight.
