yes, youre probably the 11th or 12th trainer/nutritionexpert ive had this conversation with. its been done to death and most knowledgable boxing heads already know the score. you would be amazed how many experts we got here who have never had a fight or trained for anything in their life, and how many claim they are training world class athletes and champs. the internet is a magical place.
So you're saying Buddy McGirt is lying? Did you train Kovalev? I get it, you're probably experienced in your field, but there is more to it and nobody knows everything. I'm just saying it is more likely that the November 2nd Kovalev was not as prepared as the Yarde Kovalev. Kovalev says the same thing, Buddy McGirt said something similar before, the bookies knew the deal. I'm not saying a better prepared 2019 Kovalev would have won or even be the favorite.
It’s been covered plenty and I’ve posted a video on it. It’s not a bad video as it shows where these drugs are injected and known PED users such as Vitor Belfort.Golovkin whilst maybe going overboard said he seen the same marks. This content is protected Whilst I don’t work out or have a six pack I’m slim and I’ve never had these mosquito bites like Spence,Canelo have and I’ll bet you could find plenty more examples if you looked.
I couldn’t find the exact option but it was a combination of canelo being an amazingly skilled P4P fighter and Kovalev being shopworn with little time to recover from his previous fight before hitting a new training camp. The fight left no doubt in my mind that Kova of three years ago would have beaten this canelo with relative ease, probably coasting to a decision. That’s just my opinion. Kovalev fought like a man who was very self conscious of his own stamina levels.
the bookies knew what most knowledgeable boxing heads knew, that canelo was a better fighter, after that, the betting determine the odds, not the bookies. kovalev is a good fighter who has seen better days, but was no worse than even against anyone at 175 just 2 days ago. ask buddy and kovalev themselves, theres video of them talking a whole different game before saturday. but all of this is to be expected, theres no mysteries here. canelo is a level above kovalev, any kovalev, but a past prime one is not enough to handle canelo, even with all the physical advantages. levels.
this video is ridiculous. it doesnt pass the logic tests. first we would have to see what type of ped he was using, see if administration is intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, or intradermal. if it still matches whats on the video, see why administration is confined to abdominal muscles, and if its not confined, why would everyone choose to do it on such a visible part of the body. if it is confined, why? what role do abdominal muscles play in acting as receptors of directly injected peds. lets say it passes most of those tests, now we got to weed out all the bumps that are veins close to the surface that break the plane when you flex a muscle. then lets say we could actually do that using that crappy ass video, what would we actually be left with? enough for you to be making canelo out to be a ped injecting cheater? seriously?
2 guys worried about stamina. Kov need to put hurt on Alvarez but didnt want to commit and get counted bit like GGG at times (although GGG did eventually open up). Happy to use the jab but didn't want to commit to anything bigger. Canelo fought tight took the jab on the gloves and when he punched was landing hard and clean against a tired a fighter its KO waiting to happen. Similar to what happend to Yarde got tired got KOd by a jab, Kov got tired hurt by the left but was too far gone to do anything and got shattered by a right hand. Cards weren't great but the actually fight wasn't fixed. Just an old aging fighter nursing himself through against a smaller elite level fighter with the deck stacked.
Before Kovalev Canelo withdrew from VADA random testing program. You can't deny that he is on steroids since he got caught twice already. That's why I cancelled DAZN, I dont want my money to go to these crooks.
Because Kovalev is shot. Objective fact. That's why Canelo was a big favorite both with the oddsmakers and respected pundits/fighters despite never haven competed at LHW. Only agenda driven fanboys pretend otherwise
I had Canelo behind coming into the 10th despite what the GBP score cards said. Kovalev and his team must have been wary of Canelo's power and that's what was stopping him letting his hands go, had Kov seen out the last two rounds of the fight it would have still been pretty close on the cards in the boxing public's view and it would go down as a stinker in which Canelo was gifted a win. Just a lapse of concentration from Kov probably bought on from his wild booze and coke binges. Without the KO Canelo's reputation would be in tatters right now.
I wouldn’t expect you to think anything else since you like the guy.Funny how when Golovkin called Canelo out on this and called Oscar a drug addict they said they would take legal action and yet to date nothing happened. I don’t give this team any benefit of the doubt as Oscar has a bad reputation for lying about his own shady past and Canelo has served a ban for PEDs. Let me make it clear I think the same of Fury’s claim of contaminated Boar meat as I do Canelos. You think those marks are veins I can respect that.Golovkin obviously didn’t.
Isn't the hair follicle test notoriously inaccurate when used on lighter haired individuals (blondes, redheads, light shades of brown, etc.)? Anyway, I voted "steroids" partially to be trolly, and partially because I think that is part of the correct answer - the other two being that Kovalev is shot, and Canelo's legitimate skills. The turnaround on the Yarde fight was way, way, WAY too soon, especially at his age and after he was rocked. I get that this was far too good an opportunity to pass up financially, but it handicapped him in a situation where the deck was already stacked against him (rehydration clauses, a dubious scale, Vegas judging, and a choice between two referees who count dick punches as body-work). Full disclosure, I thought Kovalev would win because I believed in Buddy McGirt the fight whisperer. I was wrong; father time remains undefeated. But take nothing away from Canelo; he's defensively responsible (even though I felt he was losing the fight wide on points, he was never seriously hurt and always looking to counter) walked him down, and landed the big knockout punches. Regardless of Kovalev being shot or not shot, regardless of A-side shenanigans, regardless of chemical stimuli...that's skill. It's part of what makes Canelo so infuriatingly frustrating to me. I WANT to like him because he's a very, very good boxer. But I can't, and that's because of blatant A-side shenanigans that would make Floyd Mayweather or Miguel Cotto blush, and the fact that he's a documented drug cheat. Sorry, but that man is on steroids. You don't put on that much weight that quickly without some "help". Well, I suppose you can, but not and come out the other side looking like that. Couple that with never being known as a super-devastating knockout puncher the way prime Kovalev or GGG or Wilder were yet scoring brutal KOs as he climbs up weight classes, and something starts to smell a little fishy. Especially in light of getting busted for PEDs before, having a lame excuse for it, shaky tests to 'prove' his innocence, a slap on the wrist punishment, and skirting by VADA testing by enrolling, dropping, and re-enrolling all in the span of a time needed for someone to cycle. Anyway, that's my two cents; probably worth less than that.
Ultimately it was Canelo's skills with a combination of declining Kov and wrong game plan. 60% skills, 30% declined Kov, 10% bad gameplan.
I see it similarly although I actually wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he was actually cleaner now than at the lower weights and that this is more of a natural walk around weight for him with the purpose of the clenbuterol to help him stay light and make big cuts without drastically hindering his performance.
It’s really a combination of many of those things. Kovalev was cherry picked, fought again without proper time to recover at his age, and had to alter his game plan because he knew there would be no chance at fair judging. Add that to Canelos granite chin, and clenbuterol body... he took a payday. No shame in that he has kids and he needs to secure their futures.
