Why did Carl Thompson Retire?

    He was on a six fight win streak. Did he retire because he was 41 or did he have an injury?

    He retired of his own accord

    He would have continued, but was fed up of not getting any decent paydays since nobody would take the risk after he upset Haye's applecart. At 41 he thought he might as well call it a day if he ain't gonna get the bucks

    He said he'd fight again, but wanted a decent payday. He obviously wasn't offered what he wanted. Shame a re-match with Haye never happened.
