Why did CHAVEZ force whitaker to a catchweight of 145 to the fight?

well i understand the sport and i feel boxing is full of ****ing divas. All we see is big tuff guys acting like bitches all the time

 

The real question is why did CHAVEZ force the judges into a catchdraw? :think

In a perfect world, we'd have seen them fight at 135.

As it stands, Pernell was clearly the better welterweight (Julio never was able to pick up a title at WW) and the fight at the 145 catchweight mirrored that.

 

You have an interesting point of view on this, but I do see a lot of "divas" in sports period. But the guys who are fighting at catch weights are for the MOST part NOT divas.

Robinson, Armstrong, Leonard, PAC, Nard, Cotto, Marg, Martinez, Williams.....that's just a few.... Now we also have the divas like Floyd and Paulie M. ect. but look at Basketball, Football and Baseball...those are for real divas.

 

JCC was also a cokehead at the time of the Whitaker fight. The extra weight was horrible for him, made him slow of foot. Like JMM trying to fight Mayweather, he just wasn't the same guy.
