Its simple, Mayweather fights are more valuble assets than Margarito fights.

It takes more to deserve a shot against Mayweather.

hatton vs mayweather had nothing to with weight floyd is a very small welter .pacman morales mab castillo hatton the list goes on they all walk around heavier floyd might weigh 150 at best so if that extra 7 pounds mean that much then that should give mayweather that much more credit

And of course, if you think it's a double standard then that's the most obvious reason it wasn't. :patsch

I swear, Mayweather idiots do not know very much. Some of the dumbest people I have ever seen post. And not just in terms of boxing, just overall intelligence. Next to none with these fool...

I don't post nonesense like so many of you guys do. Sure I insult some of you, but in terms of boxing, never do I post asinine thing like the Pretty boyz.

Explain how it's a double standard then, if you really think it is. And just so you know, and judging by your post you don't, for something to be a double standard, their situations need to be the same. Here's a hint: They're not...:good

Cintron had a belt, his only conqueror didnt.
    Seems fair to me.
If Hatton won a WW belt and Floyd got a loss and wanted a shot, challenging Hatton would be acceptable.

The main idea is the same: Fighter X rematching fighter Y, after fighter Y clearly beat him. The cases are not identical, but it would be almost impossible two find two identical cases in the same era.

Cintron went on an impressive winning streak? It wasn't impressive, he beat Mark Suarez, Jesse Feliciano and other three guys. No one was ranked in the Top10. But Hatton could beat Lazcano, Malignaggi and someone else, and that would be better than Cintron's "comeback".

If he wins impressively, there would be no doubt that most people would say that Hatton has improved, and a rematch, like most rematches, would be a way of confronting his old demons. Just like in Cintron's case.

By fighting Cintron again, Margarito was fighting a legitimate welterweight contenders. By fighting Hatton again, Mayweather would be fighting a guy that is still ranked in the P4P list. P4P duels are always bigger/better/more important.

(Let's not mention Cotto. Obviously, I would prefer Cotto-Mayweather before Hatton-Mayweather II.)

I guess this thread is another attempt to justify Mayweathers blatant cherry picking?
