**** off Prance.:hi: I get tired of people thinking it's okay for boxers like Margo to take a rematch against a guy he made cry in the ring but the possibility of PBF taking a a rematch against Hatton he's getting bashed for it. The same way people say Cotto's win over Mosley was a great win but then say PBF's win against Oscar at 154 was nothing I could go on and on. These double standards exist whether you chose to acknowledge them or not is irrelevant.

He is a cherry picker, that's why he was one of the best records of today's boxing and is still undefeated. More fighters should start cherry picking. :good

Mayweather's win over Baldomir (who happened to be the linear champ at the time) is discredited on a daily basis by his usual detractors (who btw are pushing their fixation to new ridiculous levels). Margarito, on the other hand, receives praises from the same group of individuals for beating Kermit Cintron, a fighter with one-punch ko capability though inconsistent and with limited skills and stamina, the epitome of a C-level fighter pushing to B.

I fail to see how beating Cintron consists a greater achievement than beating Baldo, let alone Hatton.

The guy under the spotlight is often the one exposed to criticism, the others get a free pass until a few among them become themselves superstars.

It isn't. Actually, Baldomir has a much better resume than Cintron. :nod

this is a ridiculous analogy. cintron's case and hatton's are totally diffrent.

cintron as a belt holder was in the position to confront his demons because he brought something to the table that margarito needed. a title. and for that reason cintron actually had the upper hand.

what does hatton have that pbf needs. hatton was beaten, and brings nothing to the table.

the only way these situations are the same would be if margarito gave him a rematch as champion, with cintron not having done anything since crying in the ring.

Maybe, I didn't start it. Another possibility would make this thread an attempt to show that cherry picking is not the exclusive privilege of Mayweather.

I couldn't agree more. He's getting full credit for beating a guy who froze up at the first sight of his own blood then broke down and cried in the ring. The rematch was really not needed you can't possibly be beaten more both mentally and physically than Cintron was in the first fight. But PBF gets hell for beating a linear champ who simply beat who was in front of him....GTFOH.

Anybody who thinks that Margo is duckin somebody or actin like a ***** or any of that bull**** needs to slap themselves.

    :patsch

Seriously, let's not be some Floyd dick riders, and just say, this move made sense and Floyd fight Hatton again would be bull****.

Afterall, Margo is fighting Cotto and many of ya'll expect him to lose....so STFU.

    Pimp, stop bein gay.

This **** is unnacceptable. Margo may not be as tallented as Mayweather, but he doesn't duck anyone.

Why are you arguing that Baldomir was a good win? Let's not be blind here. Baldomir is no better than that old guy in the gym that wants to spar everybody all the time.

The difference is that Baldo won a linear championship and holds wins over Gatti, Zab and Clottey he actually accomplished something in the ring while the guy at the gym is just wishing.:deal
