Cotto was nearly being knocked out. he wanted some time to recover ...

I even like Cotto, great fighter. but it was intentional ...

Zab was going to send him back to Puerto Rico without his belt.

If you watch the fight though, Cotto was already clear-headed. He was rocked but it was more than a few moments before the low blow occured. It did seem intentional, but it wasn't his only way of surviving as many people like to make it seem.

you have to give Cotto credit, since then he stopped throwing nut shots, instead he now uses his legs to run around and sprint like marion jones. WAR COTTO!

His last chance. Judah was tearing him a new *******. Add in the rabbtit punches and intentional headbuts. Hes just a dirty fighter. Which is why it was so good to see Margarito walk through his low blows and break his will.

  9. I always said the punch that Judah landed was hyped up... Watch the fight again. And with Judah hopping around like a rabbit. it was only a matter of time before a punch caught him low. On his best night, Judah cannot beat a Miguel Cotto. It's purely mind over matter and Judah is simply incapable.

I don't feel bad for Judah, he was happy punching Floyd intentionally in the sack.

  10. ? There were NO lowblows from Cotto in that fight... Boxingis best when we leave the WWF BS out of the equation. I have seen Cotto get hit low, like Tyson on many occasions and he does not even acknowledge it... All this acting on the canvas has to stop.

If you watched the fight then its obvious. Judah caught him with some good shots and hurt him. Cotto is fight in NY/Puerto Rico and he knows he won't be DQ. He he threw Clottey down in NY/Puerto Rico and nothing happened. No point off etc.. You can't call Cotto shameless and mention Marg, the dude faught with loaded gloves for Pete's sake.

  12. This would be easier to accept had Cotto done the same to every fighter prior to Judah who hurt him...He hasn't. I think he was expecting Judah to spring back and when he did not, the punch landed low. I don't think it was intentional and while he did get hit with a good shot, he never seemed to be truly hurt on the level where as a fan, I was nervous. When you get hit with a good shot, it looks ugly... your head is going to react etc But if you look at Cotto's eyes, he was clear and fighting well immediately after the punch. Judah is FAST and has pop but I don't see him beating Cotto regardless of low blows. Cotto does not strike me as a guy who will hit low on purpose. He is a honorable dude and this is why he is pissed with Margarito.

He did it for the same reason he low blowed Corely, Torres, and a few other fighers who landed some decent shots on him.

A bit of revisionist history on your part. Off the top of the head, Cotto hit both Corely, and Torres low repeatedly, both guys were landing decent shots on Cotto.

  15. Cotto is a body puncher... If you watch enough boxing, you will see this happens. You mention Torres but NOT one time did Cotto hit him low when he was ROCKED... Same with Corley...Same with Margarito... ETC.

Chavez Sr landed about 3-4 lowblows a fight. He went crazy on Randalls balls...

Show me the video where Cotto hit either of them when he was in REAL trouble?

    Did not happen.

And WHY did he not hit Tony low?? He was hit low by Tony 3X in the fight. Hips and nuts.
