Why did Cotto refuse a post-fight interview?

Was out of the country, so just catching up on the fight now, but was this ever explained? Doesn't seem like Cotto to be a poor sport and refuse a post-fight interview.

I don't know, but when the fight finished after speaking with Floyd he left the ring and walked to the dressing room, the camera followed.

When he got in the dressing room he paced around then sat down and the doctor immediatley came up to him and said something. Cotto shook his head and put his finger up to his temples and made like a pained face.

Maybe heavy banging in his head, thumping pain, maybe he was worried after the fight and wanted it checked out pretty quick? Don't know just a guess? Could be totally wrong.:conf

Becaus the score cards were not right. 117-111, 117-111, and 118-110 were unreasonable. Maybe he thought 115-112 was closer to reality than the ones mentioned above.

You think he would be ok with the loss if the scores were closer?

Apparently, he recorded one in his dressing room with Larry Merchant, which will air tonight.

Because he took a bad beating and was nearly KO'd in the last round. The post fight interview with Merchant shows the damage he took.

One stunned stumble does not equal almost getting knocked out. He recovered quickly and still kept advancing.

I think he felt disappointed of all the hard work he put in training camp and that he gave it his all and still didn't win.

    :huh

1:49 on the video: Cotto gets caught, holds for 2 seconds, then breaks and throws a left hook before resetting and continuing to advance.
