Guys, when i picked oscar to win it was based on him coming into the ring at 160 or so and manny being 10-15 pounds lighter then him but in a huge irony pac man came into the ring weighing a pound more then oscar?

if oscar was weight drained making 147 wouldnt that mean he would blow up on fight night to 160-165 or so?

I think he was taking something to keep his weight down and this was the effect.

I think Roach was right in saying that Oscar starved himself so badly in order to make the weight that he would feel full after only small amounts of food. This seems to be a logical explanation

I think it's like what Floyd Sr and Roach said that DLH starved himself so much that when he tried to eat, he got full way too fast.

seems most likely. had he come in at 160 he probably would have suffered a worse beating...

he did himself no favours weighing in at 145.it clearly didn't have any psychological impact on pac so he shouldn't have drained himself of them 2lbs

i agree i picked manny to win but more so when i heard that osca was so light...he had nothing to give on fight night, he reminded me of a wieght drained casamayor when he fought pbf....

who cares...thats what he gets for picking on a guy several weight divisions smaller.....drain yourself or not, you take a chance on getting weak....should have stayed at 154..... and fought paul williams, margo, forrest, winky...people you dont have to kill yourself or starve getting to a weight

I guess oscar didn't wanted to blow up too
Much beause he probaly wanted some speed to catch with PAC and have a little more stamina too.

Been asking myself the same thing. This fact is more shocking than anything that's associated with this fight. Almost EVERYONE, including Pacfans, had to think that DLH would have about a 10 lb advantage come fight night. But as mentioned above by others, i think he got used to this weight and his food intake desires were lowered and he just didn't eat.

I think him draining down completely fuc*ed his body up. Just like RJ and Byrd in recent years.
