Why did Duran hate his Mexican heritage?

    I dont remember hearing about Duran not appreciating his mexican heritage...but I do remember reading that he had an immense hatred for Pipino Cuevas for a long time..so maybe that's got something to do with it.

    Agree need references. And even if true racist/ethnic/religious etc dislikes were more prevelent back then.

    His Mexican-American dad took off on him, and only showed up after Duran became big. I don't blame him for feeling the way he does.
