When he wakes up this morning, he won't be crying. He will laugh his way to the bank for quite a while.

I actually think, in a weird way, those were tears of joy. Financially, this fight is the best thing to ever happen for him. He may never see any where close to what he made for this fight again.

The guy has a young family, he can't just afford to throw away a $180k cheque (or whatever it was). Clearly though, his career means a lot to him and he wanted to win on an even playing field though. I'm sure if he had the money to tell Broner to **** himself for not making weight then he might have.

Can't criticise the guy given the circumstances.

Everybody knew Broner was going to win that isnt the issue, the issue is he simply took advantage here, and it wasnt just 5 pounds he was 5 pounds heavier at 5 pm by the time the fight went down it was 10 or 11 pm he was a jr middle by then

I don't have an ounce of pitty for him. He was within his right to not take this fight and I wouldn't have blamed him. With that said he did get a career high payday so it will go a long way benefiting his family.

If you don't believe that HBO/GBP/Al Haymon didn't put a gun to his career and threaten to end it if he didn't fight then you are pretty naive.

of course they did and lets not forget thats an un official scale that HBO re weighed him on at 5 pm the fight started around 11 pm their time so even if 147 @5 was correct he was much more six hours later.

I would not be surprised if he was much more than that at five but they concealed his weight as part of the package deal to minimize public out cry, Damage Control

Honestly since its okay with the *****s and the Broner stans, well lets just say this Chimp C, Rudyard, Reppin501 and the rest of them idiots can not even talk about Catchweights or draining fighters to gain a specific advantage any more they no longer have a leg to stand on

There was a 'reported' 5 pound difference on fight night. PR machine if full swing to save Boner's sorry axe and you know it.

on an un official scale, and 6 hours before they were in the ring what was his weight when he stepped in the ring? and after all this drama how do you know that he was even 147 at 5pm? HBO could have requested his actual weight be concealed as part of the deal as part of damage control. Just saying you dont make 400k just fighting an over weight Broner who really hasnt done **** yet... there is a reason he got such a great deal.

He took a good beating in there. He probably felt bad seeing he was a father yet he couldn't defend himself against another man. It wouldn't make sense to cry about a few pounds when your bank account is obese as a result of someone being overweight.
