Why did Floyd decide to make this fight now?

If anything it's floyd who looks more like they are shot to sh!t.

He was getting tied up against the ropes at will against Maidana and barely looked convincing in the first fight.

Manny still has his foot work and combinations, and looked good in his last 2 fights.

I'm a real boxing fan, and I will host the fight and make a party of it because as a Chicano that is what we do. Chicano's are the biggest boxing fans in the U.S. Boxing was around before Mayweather and will be around after as will the chicano fans.

If you're a fan of pot-shotters who have no respect for the sport, who avoid the toughest fights, who gets a belt in a division but refuses to defend it because he thinks he is too small, who cheats in the scales against a lightweight, sucker-punches a fighter in a $65 PPV. A fighter who fights fighters from a lower division but when asked to fight a prime fighter at the same division he holds a belt he *****ss out.

Mayweather like RJJ is skilled, but like RJJ lacks a warriors heart and continuosuly looks for the easiest safest route.

As skilled as Mayweather is, he has made it hard to be a fan of, and not just because of some tactics he's used to make his fights extremely boring such as pot-shotting, but also because he retired when 147 was deep, he never wanted to defend his 154 belt against a live body, and it took him 6 years make the ONLY fight he needed to make after all the fighters he ducked got old or retired.

Yeah, when Mayweather retires we're sure going to miss his incredible display of boxing against teh Guerreros, Maidanas, Baldomirs, and all the other B and C level dudes he padded his record with. What a huge loss. I'll especially miss paying 65 dollars for those fights.

At least when he retires, most of the Joyboys will be gone.

It's hilarious how Mayweather fans continue to pretend that flat fee 'offer' was anything more than a cheap PR stunt. Even more hilarious is how they'll conveniently ignore the counter offer that was made in response to that supposed offer.

I'm personally intelligent enough to see it was nothing but posturing on the sides of both parties, but Mayweather fans are genuinely stupid and gullible enough to swallow anything that f*ggot feeds them.

Because Arum was no longer in the picture... oh wait

The reason it happened is because Arum and parties involved brought Les Moonves into the discussion this time and Moonves wouldn't take a No for an answer especially as Floyd and Haymon try to coward their way out again

Here's a quote from Espinoza himself:
"One of the main reasons why this deal got done, as opposed to deals in the past, was because Leslie Moonves [President and CEO, CBS Corporation] was a part of the process. He was deeply committed to making this deal and was someone that all parties in this negotiation really respect. He was really the catalyst for seeing this through and refused to take no for an answer from any side."

Pacquiao waxes Khan. I'd quite like to see that following his boring points loss to Mayweather.

Not if you're promoting either of them.

Bob Arum made a lot of money off of Pacquiao and this belief that Floyd was scared of him, and that Pac could win this fight. If he fought and lost in 2010, Bob is out MILLIONS. And I personally don't believe Bob Arum has ever believed Manny wins this fight, despite what he'll say in front of the media. (Just IMO)

This is all about maximizing profits. These guys are going to retire, and this is a cash out fight.

stopvsaying Pac is shot. this is their last two fights, Pac won 24 rounds and got many KD against a champion and the #3 p4p. Mayweather "arguably" drew/lost and then got a close decision. if anythig Mayweather looks shot. so if anyone js cherry picking it would be Pacs team

This started a long time ago. They are a symptom of the alphabet soup of belts.
