(title was wrong. Its supposed to be: Why did Floyd avoided Merchant's question on...) whether he is willing to soften his stance on his 60-40 purse sharing demand with Pacquiao. Instead he went back to his fabricated excuse: "TAKE THE TEST"

LMAO is there anyone in ESB who still believes that Pac is not willing to take the test and that it is the reason why the fight isn't gonna be made? Why is Floyd so blatantly lying through his teeth about this test and gets away with this. Merchant could have told him that the only reason why the fight will not be made is because Floyd isn't willing to give Pacquiao a 50-50 purse contract. Merchant didn't and i was disappointed.

    Pacquiao doesn't mind 50/50

It's Arum who is against that idea, which is why he moved onto saying why Arum is the cause for the fight not happening.

each time floyd keeps blabbing about "Take the test!" when everyone knows its no longer an issue makes him more suspicious. Does he really believe that he deserves more than 50-50 with Pacquiao? If so why dont he defend that during interviews instead of hiding behind the fabricated OSDT issue.

40-40...extra 20 goes to the winner.

if they both think they are deserving and they both think they can win then this should be foolproof.

Merchant: Are you willing to soften your stance on the purse demand?

Mayweather: Pac should take the test.

Lmao, floyd should discuss the purse issue instead of hiding behind lies and excuses

No it wasn't. It was the only logical question to ask regarding the issue, because the split is what's holding the fight up.

The only thing stupid was Mayweather's answer.

Q: "Will you change your money demands?"
A: "All he gotta' do is take the tests" [Tests that he already has said he'll take]

    :huh

But **** it. It's never going to happen. So we should stop giving a **** about it.

Not hard to understand, floyd already made his offer, all pac has to do now is accept and take the test. Floyd said no 50/50 whether it fair or not that is his offer to pac.

    But he has accepted, right?

After last night, with the money that PBF made... I'm slightly starting to think it's a 60/40 for PBF but that offer where Pac would get no PPV is still ****.

I'm shocked with the number of people who still think this fight will happen.

Then why doesn't he stand by his demand? shout it out for all the world to hear. why does he have to lie and make it appear to all the casual fans that the drug test is holding the fight when in fact its no longer an issue?

    That makes no sense, whatsoever.

So all you have to do, is make an offer, and the job's done? No consideration of whether it's a fair one or not? He should just accept it?

After Merchant said "soften his stance" I think Mayweather already had it in his mind that he was going to talk about drug testing even though he said 60-40. Mayweather was probably think about what he himself was going to say and tuned Merchant out.

You don't negotiate MONEY on the spot like that...especially when you just fought and have to wait until your numbers are totaled...and then wait until Pac's next fight is totaled.
