But Oscar gave Floyd plenty of problems.

Floyd does everything for money and he has zero principles.

Yet he walked away from a huge amount of money, only to come back for Hatton, and then retire?

Only a fool would turn down that amount of money, if they didn't fear losing.

 

How can you say a man is obsessed with money and does everything for it, then finish the same post with "he walked away from a huge amount of money" and "only a fool would turn down that amount of money"? Sounds like you assume he is obsessed with money but he he knows what he want and money isn't always first.. Let me guess, health comes first.. Which is absolutely true..

I don't think he wanted to fight Oscar again, because Oscar gave him a great fight, and afterwards Oscar pleaded for a rematch, and oozed confidence.

I don't think the PPV numbers would have been as good, but a lot of people would have wanted to have seen a rematch, and it would still have grossed millions of dollars.

IMHO, if Floyd had've thought the rematch would have been easy, he'd have gladly taken it to make huge money.

He couldn't make as much money fighting anyone else.

The fact that he fought Hatton and then retired, tells me that he didn't fancy it.
