When asked by a reporter about a possible fight with Sergio Martinez, Floyd said that Martinez should fight Andre Dirrell. Why would floyd say this? A fight with Sergio is the 2nd biggest for Floyd after Pac.

or he knows if Dirrell beats the number 3 p4p fighter in the world, he'll become a star and Floyd will be able to promote him for years to come even after Floyd retires

What good would a 168 fighter beating Sergio do for Floyd from a boxing perspective? lets just say Floyd is avoiding Martinez, all he needs to do is go down to 147 and Martinez can't touch him.

sergio said that he would drop down to 150 to fight Floyd, and take a 20/80 split. Floyd went to 154 for Cotto, so Sergio at 154 should be Floyd's next fight if not Pacquiao. floyd beating sergio @ 154 or 160 would be a monstrous win and would put Floyd in Top 10 ATG list

He's just promoting one of his guys. Though I'd note that Dirrell beating Martinez wouldn't make him anywhere near a star since Martinez himself is not one and that by simply bulking up to fight Dirrell, Martinez would essentially be eliminating himself from ever fighting Floyd regardless of the outcome due to his size.

Yes it's a great win, I doubt top 10 ATG, most lists I've read have him around 40 now and Sergio not in the top 100.

The only thing is that Mayweather has only went up to 154 for fights with Cotto and De La Hoya, one gave his highest purse ever and the other made him the star he is today, I don't think he goes to 154 unless a good reason comes, Sergio don't bring a large sum of money to the table, besides I personally don't think he looks comfortable at 154 and I don't think he has weighed in higher than 150.

    Where did he say this?

Coward Dirrell, is not worthy to be a sparring partner with the middleweight champ.
