If Floyd wasn't so good at slipping and rolling, it would've been really ugly. Most people bought the fight to see it get ugly. Pacquiao's leftovers? Pacquiao got Margarito's leftovers. He took a fighter who was bashed and battered by plaster. Coming into that fight, they knew that Margarito had used the wraps because he had already got busted trying to do it to Mosley. Pacquiao's game was to play on the obvious mental lapse that became of Cotto's game after the tough loss.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Miguel Cotto. After last night, Manny's performance, while more dominant, is not so impressive. Especially since he won't give Cotto a fair shake with the weight these days. It's easy to take someone who has mentally become undone, make the odds in your favor, and dominate the fight. The Miguel Cotto who showed up last night is the Miguel Cotto that Pacquiao wouldn't even entertain the notion of fighting. Manny likes to have the odds stacked in his favor or the fight will not happen. Floyd gets mad respect for not trying to do what Pacquiao did to Cotto. Floyd is pulling himself ahead by doing things that PacMan simply doesn't do. He took some shots, got bloodied, but he did what he needed to do. I'm sure everyone got their money's worth. I had a fight party last night and we were all thoroughly entertained.
