Actually, MVC is correct...Its easy to walk away from a fight. Phil Jackson was signed to fight Frank Bruno back in 1996, Jackson's team did not like the size of the ring & ended up leaving literally hours before their fight. Alot of fighters walk away from fights for minor issues, hell I had fighters pull out of fights for not being able to use certain gloves, shoes, mouthpieces, etc. Boxers are finicky when it comes to their own style and brand of ring paraphenelia.
after shittier fired himself, theftjr followed suit. if theftjr fight under gbp banner again, you know what's up. he will be oscar's ***** forever.:rofl:good
programer, where is this mysterious contract with oscar? why did manny resign with corrupt bob, when he could of been a free agent? who ran from drug testing & who is in debt to the tune of 68 million dollars to 2 govts?
whos next to bend pac over? koncz, arum and his own govt?...the sad part is i think he likes it..... the tax man waits for no one
Yes they should have gave in, Floyd is the A side and if you want to wear your gloves , your ring, your conditions, then beat the A side and dictate the rematch. And don't dare say Chino would of won had he wore his special gloves. Regardless of gloves you got to actually hit Floyd to beat him!!
Bro, Maidana already beat him while being at a disadvantage...imagine if he would've been allowed to use his gloves, he would've killed that boy:hammertime
It was a bluff. The backlash would have been horrible for Floyd if he pulled out, because the 2nd pair was actually approved by the commission. That's different than pulling out of a fight because of gloves that were approved by the NSAC. It sounded like just gamesmanship and mind games. If Maidana and Garcia wanted those gloves so badly, they should have just called them on the bluff. Now they are whining about it.
After viewing the fight several times I am certain the gloves had no impact (for better or worse) on Maidana's performance. Also considering Maidana's history of fouls Floyd was absolutely right to dictate gloves.
It probably didn't have an impact on the result. But if Maidana wanted the gloves so bad, they should have called Mayweather & Elerbee on their bluff.
