I am so happy that HBO doesnt have atlas... thank... God. anyone but him and foreman and ill be happy...
atlas is so full of his own **** im suprised he can see the fight

also, as much as i like LL, he stays at BAD... not quality enough for ppv's and champion level fights.

RJJ, Max, Jim, Larry is where its at....

To be honest they need to start having younger faces on tv.... as weird as it sounds it DOES effect the mindset of these college people tuning in.

When they tune into mma they see joe, hot girls, ect, ect... they fall for the flash. Im not saying boxing has to dumb itself down or anything but it would help to not have senior citisens calling the fights, just makes boxing fit the part of the older generation.

Thats why i like Max... hes good... calls people on their ****.... hes young, he loves this sport and hes improving.

Rjj... just perfect though he makes some stupid statements sometimes like the Klitschkos... but then he retracted some statements or corrected himself on vitali after the sanders fight

jim... i like the drama for the most part though lately i havnt been digging him

merchant i wouldnt mind every now and then because he makes me laugh sometimes and out of respect... but not as a constant, kinda like a part of the broadcast theyll go to him to get his thoughts on it.

    imo

    Atlas gets annoying.

Just like him as a professional trainer, his commentary is mediocre to average.

Watching boxing will be like the world up side down when the time comes that neither Lampley or Merchant will be there to do the job. It is a sad fact that we will someday be forced to face. Even Bernstein and Co. over at Showtime are getting up in age as well.

A one foot in the grave Larry, is 10 times the commentator that wide eyed ****** Kellerman is, I dont care if you have to pull Larry out of the local bar during happy hour, he could still do a better job than Max.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you said, but just because someone makes a ridiculous amount of money it doesn't meet they will be lax over the "little stuff". He might have been making $50 million per year from the grills while HBO was offering to renew his $350k per year contract. He might have been asking for $500k and walked out when HBO didn't pony up the $150k difference.

Of course I don't know what happend between George and HBO. I'm just using this as an example. Just because someone has tens of millions of dollars, it doesn't mean they're not going to count their nickles and dimes.

    Definitely.

Sometimes rich people are the greediest or cheapest people on the planet.

The greed is often what makes them so rich in the first place.

George was hilarious. He talked out of his ass but he was very entertaining. The only thing that bothered me was during the Hops Trinidad fight whatever Hops did George would say "you dont wanna do that with a guy like Trinidad"

I want to see Mike Tyson being a guest-commentator a couple of times, I think he would be the best they ever had:happy

Also a guy like Joe Mesi would be AWESOME!
He's articulate, got a good voice, speaks clearly, isn't afraid of handing out heavy criticism against some fighters:happy

Pettway-Brown was a very exciting fight.

    Hopkins-Mercado 2 was a one-sided B-Hop beatdown.

Yes, in his prime he was brilliant.

However, he has brain damage and an inflated ego. He started not coming at appointments with HBO which is why he got fired. Sad story.
