he was proud of his heritage, surely it would have made buisness sense to fight out there? he wa spopuler out in yemen wasent he. he was also sponserd MBC tooo .
I have heard Warren comment on this and basically it wasn't as economically appealing as you would anticipate. Basically Hammed and Warren would of made less money than they do from a fight in the UK. the main stumbling block was the costs for Sky. They would of had to have shipped out all there equipment, as there were no TV companies in the Yemen in a position to set up and film a major boxing show. If it was now it may be more likely to happen but you didn't have as many major sporting events taking place in the middle east as you do now.
true ... you wonder if they have the facilites out there to even accommodative at 20 thousand crowd out there
How about saftey issues for the fighters to. are they prepared for that sort of thing. Imagine Benn vs McClennan taking place in the Yemen, what the **** would happen!
Too much money to be made in the UK, publiciity in Yemen wouldn't generate too much money for Naz. He was primetime in the UK trying to break into the US market. Thats were the dollar is, not the middle east Not sure how well the middle east would have taken to Naz's antics
lol go look at dubai or any major city in any of the gulf states and then look at your neighbourhood u dumb ****. Go suck a dick
I thought Naz put on a couple exhibitions in the yemen when he visited one time? I know there not proper fights but still, its better than **** all if they couldnt sort out a fight.
Wasn't realistic at the time. I'm quite sure that if he was fighting today, a fight could have been made in Dubai. If they were really ambitious, they could have it outdoors in the desert
He boxed exhibitions there and was going to fight my former opponent Norman dhalie for the Yemeni title
