Why did Hatton entered the ring first?

Hatton has been champ at 140 since 05. Pac was coming to his house, the champion should enter last every time.

 

hmmmm..yeah i was quite confused on how it's done coz traditionally the champion of the division should enter the ring last..

 

I thought they said Hatton wanted to come first out of respect for Pacquiao who is the #1 P4P boxer. I didn't hear anyone saying they're fighting for the "P4P title," that's just ****ing stupid.

 

Hatton should have come out second. Coming out first gave Manny time to bump fists with half the arena.

 

p4p rankings are nice and bring a new aspect to the sport, but I would rather have a ring mazagine championship than a p4p title without a belt. Hatton was the champion and should have came out last.

 

I remember hearing Holmes was led to the ring before Cooney and it made him him so angry Larry said he wanted to destroy and embarrass Gerry. I think that was the first time a champion entered before the challenger.

 

The commentators said during the start of the fight, It was hatton's decision to come out first, he's the Champion, and the Champion gets to decide who goes out first or last. Hatton decided to go out first as some kind of marketing ploy. For his fans he wanted his victory to look even more important and spectacular than it should be. lol

Just goes to show how confident of winning and at the same time how deluded he was.
