Floyd gave him clear instructions he said, You have to move your head, you have fake and faint, don't try to over power him, keep your hands up, you should have been listening to me from day one. Hatton enter's the round with his hands down and with no head movement, again trying to overpower Pacquiao I beleive Mayweather Sr did his job with Hatton during training, You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink i guess.
he tried man. In the 2nd he had his hands up and was being more patient but when he heard the 10 second warning he tried to steal the round and got clocked for it
Hatton was dealing with two problems. First, he wasn't in shape for the fight. Second, he had a stupid trainer who was trying to change his style.
He reverted back to his old ways. It wasn't just a matter of trying to steal the round, he went in with his head unprotected, a bad habit he kept doing on occassion even during the Malignaggi fight, and even got hit, the difference is that Pac was able to really make Hatton pay for it. Hatton, nor anyone thought he wouldn't be able to deal with Pac's power in that sort of way.
