Why did Haye run against Valuev?

Come on get ****ing real the size of the bloke could easily generate a KO punch against a smaller man, its not ****ing rocket science.

If I fight someone of similar height I get stuck in, someone much bigger I hit and move. Why would you stand and take a punch from a giant?

 

He fought the EXACT same way in the first round back peddling etc. as he did the rest of the fight. Someone posted a quote from Booth on here that said their plan was to throw as few punches as possible. They are not going to engage with Klitschko either.

As many people have stated and as I remember reading, it was the gameplan, to play it safe and box, clean and effectively.

The thing people need to remember, Haye got the nod in GERMANY when so others before him had been "robbed". So clearly the gameplan was effective.
