I know, I just just pointing out to him he's trying to belittle the whole resume of a great fighter in Hopkins, and wins over great fighters.

I see what you are saying, I think certainly the DLH win doesn't rank particularly highly, nor the Winky Wright one. Thought they are decent wins still over quality fighters.

But Felix Trinidad, the guy was a great fighter, and still a very good MW, and had just destroyed William Joppy. I still rate that as a great win for B-Hop. And then obviously there's win's over the likes of Tarver - the champ at 175 at the time and he dominated. Pavlik is still a good win aswell.

Like I said, I can see what you are saying but 25lbs is a lot of weight to move up, especially for a former 160lber. He'd either have to put on 20lbs of fat and then try and shed it off to get back to 175/170 for potential fights with Dawson, Froch etc. Or put on 20lbs of muscle and stay at CW.

I agree though, Adamek deserves a lot more than 500k. After all like you said, it's the money coming out of the fans pockets I suppose. I'm sure he got more than 500k Cunningham & Banks, so it would be a pay-day step backwards. It's a great opportunity but for that money, it's not worth it.

Can someone explain how a challenger can duck a titleholder?

The offer of $500k was less then 10%, lets try to be realistic here.
There's no doubt who's got the better resume, but Adamek carries a solid fan base, is much, much more exciting to watch. Its been 5 yrs since Bernards last TKO\KO.
GBP have taken over HBO, it sounds like they are now requiring all options on anyone whos not their fighter.

Looked at pizza face hayes,,,the guy took a dog deal to take on a name figher, i am sure in england the guy will make a paycheck, so he does not need wlad,,,,Adamek is in the same sort of boat in my opinon, sure today he makes only so much, but his fight that follow will bring in a bigger reward, an i see him beating hopkins, an there are some good fights at cruiserweight, an adamak does have a following, i know he sells out in chicago...so take the cut, get on HBO, get good #'s an he might be make a few millon more,,,,,,to me hopkins will not be a big risk for adamak, i think the risk is on hopkins side

Yeah umm when the challenger has so much power that ESPN will do a segmant on him and have him call out a fighter on LIVE TV only to turn around and back out.

Hopkins called out Adamek not the other way around.

Your not even a boxing fan, your a Polish nationalist who knows nothing of the sport and nutthugs on your nations below average fighters.

Adamek is a no name fighter looking to make himself a name. Hopkins would give him that shot and 500k may be a career high purse, who knows. 500k isn't small change for Adamek

Hopkins isnt fighting for less than he usually does, Adamek is a lesser name than he usually faces so brings less to the table, business is that simple. Hopkins doesnt need Adamek he can fight many bigger better names.

Hopkins arguably beat Taylor on many cards at the age of 39, Adamek got schooled by Dawson in Adameks prime

Who else is out there for him to have all these big money fights against? And it's not like he'd actually get that much more popular. Last time I checked, Hopkins' last few fights have been box office duds.

Son...been a fan of this sport before the Foul Pole(Andrew) ever made any noise...the Hearns',the Hagler's,the Hoya's made me a fan of this sport not the other way around....

Adamek is not the biggest name but he also isnt a complete nobody.Again and for the last time it was Bernard who called him out LIVE on TV on Friday Night Fights only to go on and lowball him with $500K...which would be by NO MEANS a career high payday as does those numbers already.

My single biggest issue here is the blatant lie that Hopkins' is trying to pull simply because he knows Adamek doesnt the same media backing he has.Fact is he offered $500K about 2 months ago and then lies on FNF this past week and claims he offered $1.2 and then saying Adamek seems content to fight a nobody for $200K.Very ****ing BOLD only after Adamek got tired of his **** and signed to fight someone else.

    Like WHo?

as fo the 500k part, i hope u know that the mentioned 500k would be splited between adamek, promoters etc so in the end of the day he would earn 300k max

    regardless

that lowball offer was just a way to withdraw with face

I don't think Hopkins ducked anybody, he did lowball him though.
What were saying here is HOPKINS *LIED*! He may/ may not be afraid to fight Adamek, but what I'm pretty sure of is he lied...For whatever reason.

Sorry but you cant win fight's when you cant score a KD or KO and you start your assault in the 9th round...twice.Throwing lots of punches and only landing a few is better than not throwing any at all.Defense keeps you safe but it doesnt win you rounds.

And as i mentioned before with Hopkins' full credit when he wins a built in excuse when he loses due to his age.

How can anyone dispute both the video evidence and Hopkins in his own words and not say that he flat out lied for WHATEVER REASON.
