Why did Joe Calzaghe and Sven Ottke never fight?

    the reason this fight didn't happen is because no one gave a ****. it was hardly a matchup that fight fans wanted to see. both guys were content with their belt, fighting at home and making money. nothing wrong with that but neither guy was considered a top fighter at the time.

    It was a terrible offer. Ottke made 1M EURO at home fighting Mitchell. Why would he take a paycut and fight Joe away from home? Warrren knew it was not a real offer. Ottke was the no. 1 and Calzaghe didn't want none.

    The fight was never made because both of them were just con men. Neither would leave home to fight they both knew to stay at home ensured a win to travel they might have to really earn the win
