I'm not denying that he's had his share of pancakes :)lol:), but you gotta admit that taking on a ranked contender in your 13th month as a pro is pretty damn impressive. I'm not a Henry Hascup, but i will bet you there are few heavyweights who can lay claim to stepping up so fast, gold medalist or not.

Edit: Rademacher is the obvious one, and we all saw how that ended.

Your right. I know. I have posted that numerous times in other threads. I accidently posted the number 5, but I meant 9.

Bottom Line. Clark was young, rated in the top 10, and was bigger than liston. Russell had no idea clark was even top 10 before I mentioned it.

Who gages progress or accomplishment by months as a pro ? What if a fighter is injured , has personal issues, lacks a quality promoter or goes to jail ? It's a poor frame of reference and one that is very easily manipulated.

Not me, I was responding to Chris, he used the period as a term of reference.I simply met him on his turf.
I will point out, that you asked whom Marciano fought in his 13th fight,Marciano had nowhere near the amateur background ,or success Frazier did, manipulation?
Ali ,in his 29th fight ,fought Liston for the title.
Frazier, in his 29th fight, fought Marion Connor, a LHVY ,who had been kod in 1 rd that year by 171lbs JImmy Dupree.
