In a betting sense, Harda had to be the favorite. This fight was in Japan, with two of the judges being Japanese. In Asia, there are many bad decisions for the home nation fighter vs. a fighter born in another nation.

I think most Jofre fans respect Harda as the only man to beat Jofre, but like I said Jofre had issues making weight his best days as a bantam were gone. Harda had the prefect style to foil Jofre, and youth on his side.

Jofre who was extremely skilled and didn't had the short hook, or uppercut he needed for whatever reason. Harda used his head to his advantage.

Just another note on this, I just watched what footage I could find of the Caraballo fight(the one immediately before Harada 1) and Jofre looked wicked, sharp as ever. Jofre lost fair and square to Harada imo, no shame there though.

There are documented issues for Jofre making weight, of course; I'm not trying to pretend they never existed. Although, playing down the loss on Jofre's part takes away from the win on Harada's, which I disagree with.

The amazing thing with the Caraballo fight was that he’d not fought in 18 months and Caraballo’s style was not easy seen as though he was a mover. The atmosphere was hostile as hell as well.

Jofre was scheduled to fight Jesus Pimentel not much more than a month prior in San Antonio and Pimentel pulled out just hours prior to the fight.
