I find it interesting that american fans seem to hold jones, hopkins, and toney in such high regard by knocking over american bums for a decade when the biggest challenges out there for these over hyped fighters were chris eubank, nigel benn, and joe calzaghe.

why did the likes of hopkins, jones and toney never call out these british fighters or seek the chance to go over to britain and prove themselves to the boxing world?

is it because they knew they would get there arses kicked back to the other side of the atlantic and so decided to continue brain washing the american public by knocking out over hyped american bums?

This has to be a joke, it absolutely has to be. There's no way anyone, even on this forum, is seriously this much of a ****ing idiot.

I don't see many of your incredible Yank buddies beating Calzaghe. Benn in particular was also avoided by a lot of top Americans. One of them in Gerald McClellan found out exactly why.

ultimate respect goes to the G Man for fighting Benn, and I think that showed Hopkins, Toney and Jones in particular why it was best making a name off fighting American cans.

When RJJ was in his prime, who was Calzaghe really?

Now the situation is turned.. Will Calzaghe fight the American Dawson now?

its one thing hiding cowering in a corner calling guys out expecting them to come to you its another actually showing some impetus and going and making and forcing these fights to happen...unfortunately calzaghe cowered and did nothing of note until so late in his career
tell me calzaghe's first big win/super fight (if you wanna call it that) came in 2006 against lacy so what would be the attraction of going to wales in 2001 to possibly get robbed or just beat another guy everyone would say was just another protected bum who feasted on inferior opposition? the answer is there's no attraction because calzaghe didnt go out of his way to make himself a big player
    stop with this crap

you were all living in your brain washed little world, i'm suprised any of you had actually heard of benn, eubank, and calzaghe at this time because they were not born in america.

the likes of benn, eubank and calzaghe were the biggest challenges out there for your guys so why did no one come knocking on there door to fight these british fighters?

why didn't jones, toney, hopkins come over to britain to fight the best and prove themselves?

dont insult me im from the UK i can just see through media hype i actually felt like spewing bile last night the amount of build up they had and how they actually tried to pass it over as a legit contest. That sort of media hyperbole may work on you but not me and it never has for calzaghe or eubank or benn for that matter

can anyone name any fighters who were a bigger challenge to toney, hopkins, jones than what eubank, benn, and calzaghe were?
