Why did late career Ali lose punching power

    Mike Tyson's power was top league but even he seemed to lose his punch at the tail end of his career.

    By the Spinks fights he was showing visible effects of Parkingson Syndrome. He was a shot fighter by this point in time.

    Foreman was in his 40's. So I think he retained it pretty well, or at least moreso than most.

    Foreman also seemed to straighten his punches out and use his hips more in career 2

    Muhammad Ali still scored some stoppages late in his career, but he wasn't a heavy handed guy, his knockouts usually came from the explosiveness and speed of his punches, and that speed was leaving him (obviously) when he was older.
