That's a very biased and completely nonsense assesment.

That's not true about Wlad OR Ibeabuchi. Wlad-Lewis was on deck until Wlad lost to Corrie Sanders. Sanders derailed that fight. Lewis said he'd "have one Klitschko for breakfast and the other for lunch" in one of his interviews while he was still active. I think that would've been a tough meal to digest for any HW, but Lennox didn't duck Wladimir at all. Instead, one could argue that Lennox should've given Vitali a rematch. In the post fight interview with Vitali, Lennox actually called Wlad out.

As for Ibeabuchi, all you've done is make assumptions. Ike had barely even had 20 fights at the time and he was just being built as a credible threat (destroying Byrd got HBO on board as a believer), but he got himself locked up almost immediately after that. Lewis took on every one of the "young HW threats" HBO lined up for him -- Ike would've gotten his shot.

Finally, since you mentioned Steward (RIP), I take it you're critical of the way he steered Wladimir's career too, right? Steward was instrumental in picking Wlad's opponents for nearly a decade.

He ducked Ruiz too. He actually signed a clause before fighting Holyfield the 2nd time that stipulated the winner would defend against WBA mandatory Ruiz.
Lewis basically did the same to Ruiz as Tyson and Bowe had done to him.

Money probably the main issue, but I certainly feel that Byrd and Ruiz had styles that might make Lewis look bad.
Anyway, when all is said and done, Ruiz and Byrd were no less deserving or accomplish than Grant, Botha, Rahman, Kirk Johnson (who Lewis was lined up to fight before Vitali stepped in).

byrd shouldn't really have been in top contention as a hw, without vitali he wouldn't have risen to the top of that division.

Absolute unadulterated Bull Feces !!!! Lets put you straight
1... Lennox would have pulverized Chris Byrd. If you think the near de capitation defeat by Ike Ibeabuchi was bad just imagine what Lennox right hand would do to him He had the heart but was just not big enough
2... Where was Wlad when Lennox nearly took Vitali's face off ?? When Wlad was KO'd & embarrassed Vitali jumped up & demanded to get vengeance for his brothers losses. But Wlad took to the hills & hid he wanted no part of Lennox he Knew he'd get his a$$ kicked
3... There were actually talks of a Lennox - Ike fight. The plan was Ike to have one more fight then challenge Lennox. That was scuttled when Ike made that infamous call to that lying hooker in Vegas. That ended his career. A Lennox-Ike fight would have been a barn burner but knowing both guys it would have been hard for me to watch.
4... When Lennox fought & demolished Michael Grant Grant was hailed as the NEXT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!! In fact Grant was favored by many to beat Lennox :patsch If Lennox had fought Byrd instead they'd have screamed Lennox ducked Grant:patsch
5.... Manny Steward did indeed do a fantastic job training Lennox & was a big influence on his career. But Manny's greatest achievement was devising that boring grab & hold technique used by Wlad to protect his china chin. Wlad owes Manny his career.

Any time you want to know the facts about something ASK before posting such a silly fabricated post again.

Without doubt Lennox was the best Heavyweight Champ since Muhammad Ali who happens to be his idol as well as mine:hi:

Another friend of mine in Texas Kirk Johnson really beat John Ruiz but Joe Cortez blatant biased officiating, calling every body blow Kirk threw as low plus academy award acting from Ruiz got Kirk DQ'd. A Lennox- Ruiz fight would have been an annihilation & King knew it
