    Gift?

He caused that cut by beating his face to pieces, literally.

A cut like that, from punches, is as legit as any other win.

Maybe "gift" is alil harsh, but you cant deny the fact that Lewis was losing on all three scorecards at the time of stoppage.

Anyone can be cut at any time in a boxing match.

There were to many what iffs for a rematch not to take place.

We see **** rematches get made through the years. This one was well deserved IMO.

so its lennox fault that vitali hasnt got strong skin and can take punches?

he is a ***** anyway look when he lost to bird he didnt want it, even danny williams fought with a torn shoulder from round 3 of a fight and AA fought wit a broken jaw aswel as ALI

point is vitali is the big buly at school who is used to it his ow way, when it dont go right for him he bottles it:hi:

Lewis gave as good as he got. That three judges had it 4-2 in a fight that was just getting started doesn't mean anything.

Lewis was in great shape. Sorry.... he didn't have any fat on his body whatsoever, and nobody takes an ass whoopin like that and stays on their feet if they aren't in great shape. Anyone who knows anything about the fight game knows this.

Yeah, man... what a sloppy, out of shape pig....

It always cracks me up watching people trying to push that "Lewis was in horrible shape" bull**** so hard.

The cut that stopped the fight was from a grazing punch that didn't even land flush... just gripped and ripped as it slid past his face missing it's target. Sorry... that doesn't make Lewis the better man that night.

because some boxers know when to listen to their body when it starts to give them signs and call it quits. truckload of money doesn't mean **** if you can't enjoy it after you've earn them.

I think the 12 months of inactivity, the longest of his career, combined with him being three months shy of 38 had more to do with it than the weight.

But he didnt prove he was better then vitaly sure he got the win but it was because of a cut and a bad way to win. He had a long career and had every right to retire but why not the one last fight and erase doubt. I really beleive lewis knows he would of lost the rematch and chose the retirement slightly early to avoid it. :thumbsup

A.) Having little body fat does not necessarily mean you are in great shape, you either know this and are being stubborn, or you should know this and are being ignorant.

B.) The "Ass Whooping" wasn't as nearly as bad as you are exaggerating it to be.

C.) I KNOW how biased you are when it comes to this subject

This was a rematch that was not only needed for the fans, but for boxing.

One would figure that Lennox knowing how close and competitive the first fight was, would spark his competitive nature to want a rematch with the #1 heavyweight at the time.

Vitali gave Lewis all he could handle and some would say Lewis was not in such great shape. He did come into this fight at a career high of 2561/2lbs,that says to me Lennox didn't have such a great camp.

-NOTE- This thread was not in any shape or form, created to take anything away from Lewis or Vitali.

regardless of what you think the fact is he won the fight

and had how much in the bank.

beating the same fighter twice doesnt mean anything
