Bute started the fight pretty well though and he actually had good support in the arena. It's not like he froze from the first bell because he didn't. He started fine but then when he got hit, he didn't know how to react.

I think a lack of experience was a bigger issue. He didn't know how to handle himself when things got tough, and that was what let him down. He didn't know how to hold, spoil or move away from the constant barrage from Froch.

I said when the fight was announced that it's got bad performance written all over it.

I am a huge Bute fan and I will say his endurance and chin is not good enough. Terrible punch resistance but excellent skill. It will be same in rematch.

How many times did you watch Bute? I'm not convinced Lucien was in best shape. :huh

SJS, don't be so sure, mate. Remember Cotto. Bute can really harm Carl. He is wrongly judged now.

    Which one?
    Froch/Bute 1
    Froch/Mack or Froch/Bute 2?

Do you see what I mean though when Froch is champ and challenger in how he performs?

I'm of the opinion that skinny legs equals poor punch resistance, and Bute will stay same unless he moves up and gets some meat on those pins.
I always felt Tommy Hearns wasn't chinny. He just had poor proportion and he didn't go down so easy when he was at the higher weights. If resistance is a problem beforehand, skinny legs will only compound it,and Bute will always be there for the taking at 168.

    Sorry:patsch

    Meant Froch-Mack.
He reminds me of Ricky Burns in that he performs much better when less is expected of him.

this is quite true, He doesnt have the natural arrogance of a champion, the crown sits awkward on his head because he a guy who thinks hes normal.

Its almost as if he feels that winning the title is enough of an acheivement. Some people have another kind of drive, to prove something else beyond that.

I know what you mean. I wouldnt be shocked with Froch if he was to get massively outboxed in a fight he is expected to win and not motivated for. He doesnt seem on the ball and on Ringside enjoying his interviews etc.

There must've been at least one more loss in AM's... better go search for it, at least make it more credible.
