He was poisoned- Doubt it most common excuse ever! He was severely dehydrated- He might have been weight drained, but that is no one apart from him and his teams fault He was jetlagged- Jetlag lasts for like 3 days if you travel the whole world, pretty sure canada is only GMT -5, any jet lag should be gone within two days. He had a gimpy leg- Shouldn't have got in the ring. He was saddened by premature hairloss.- Lmao. He ate a christmas pudding- I don't see how this could effect someone and they fought in may He was looking at Rachel Cordingly- Pretty sure Froch would have been looking at her as much if not more. He was scared stiff- most likely of all the options supplied, the atmosphere and not being fully supported is something he is not used to. A combination of options 1-8 - I don't really think much of option 1-7. He has a glass jaw- Maybe, although he took some bombs and didn't fall. I honestly think the reason he lost and will lose again is because Froch can take what Bute can handle out and Bute simply can't take what Froch can, Bute has a mediocre defence which Froch can get through time and time again, the gap in experience at the top level will have also helped out Froch.
I think part of that fast start of Butes was due to pressure of fighting away and feeling he had to make a statement to prove that he was the man at SMW. I think alot of that was being overawed and how he reacted. Who knows its just a thought. I think a lack of experience in being the away fighter in a hostile crowd may have played a part. He was trying to train for it by having pro Froch crowds played in the gym where you could hear Rachael screaming. I dont disagree with what you say about not knowing what to do when it got tough, but look at the story about Froch when he was intimidated by the Taylor crowd, he did the same thing, just Froch has a chin that could see him through and Bute didnt
Mikkel Kessler beats the **** out of Bute, let's be honest 2 seconds. Bute is a very fragile fighter, a little bit like Amir Khan but not at the same level.
Froch is just wrong for bute. He is just too tough and bute will always struggle against a fighter not bothered about his power.. In the past bute's power and decent movement had mostly kept his opponents honest. Froch is an extremely hard fighter to neutralise and i feel bute is just not capable of keeping the cobra off of him for a full 12. Also, you forgot to add the excuse that team bute's trainer used after the fight.. apparently frochs gloves were loaded cos he didn't remove them immediately after the fight atsch
Why is it so hard for people to give Froch credit? Styles make fights and the better man won, as for the chinny excuse did anyone actually see the punches he absorbed? Many SMWs would of been out like a light after one or two of those bombs.
:deal Thank you. Any fighter that is that affected by a change in venue isn't worth a damn to begin with.
Exactly, froch was travelling to America in his first defence of the title and getting paid peanuts for it. Taylor was putting it on him big early on in the fight and a lesser man would have folded.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q19htdLycDg[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwf8IK5iiB0[/ame] there again , I hardly think that a guy who put some good performances like these two ^ , takes a brutal beating in 5 rounds. It was something wrong with Bute and that's not a pathetic excuse ! A guy who beats Andrade and Bika in that manner , at least , at least would've resisted 12 rounds against Froch if not UD him ! Another plausible explanation imo , is that Bute isn't in his prime anymore ! He's declining ! Look at these 2 videos and u'll see that his agility/athleticism and footwork are very good in comparison with his last fight ! :yep
I think the shock that Bute lost to Froch is partly based on how Bute looked against common opponents to other world class fighters Bute looked to have beaten Magee and Johnson better than Froch and Bika and Miranda better than Ward, but one thing about Bute and Ward is that they always had blueprints for whoever they fought. Neither faced a top undefeated fighter or an undefeated champion. Undefeated champs tend to have a massive confidence that is difficult to shift but once gone never seems to fully come back
