Why did Luke Campbell retire?

Loma on PPV, Linares, Garcia - thats 3 big fights.

 

He was the B-side for all of them. They also weren't "huge" fights if you know what I mean. He must have invested his money very well.

 

Ryan dominated Lukey far more than Loma

 

If his heart was not in the sport anymore, then he did the right thing because as Joe Frazier is quoted as saying:
"Boxing is the only sport you can get your brain shook, your money took and your name in the undertaker book."

Luke now owns a 24hr fully fitness gym and has a property business, he's got a good looking wife and 3 kids, i think we can say his life outside the squared circle is more than ok.

That is how we want ex fighters to be, taking care of their family, rather than needing the family to take care of them due to neurological damage.

 

Good move on Campbell, he should have a talk with Gabe Rosado.

Boxing is not the sport to keep doing if your heart is not in it. I respect that more than fighting in decline/denial.

 

He got old. The rap game is a young man's game. Besides, you can only make some many rap songs about coochie.

He got beat by Garcia who just got completely out-classed by Tank, Loma beat him so who else will he get a big fight against?

 

Getting knocked out by an Instagram model was too much for him to bare.
Can you imagine getting ””Tanked” by the guy who got Tanked??

 

Took some punishment in those last 2 fights, family to cater for & obviously felt he didn't have much for to give.
