maybe he meant emotionally..... since brandon rios was pretty much defenseless vs pacquiao.

 

I would guess he said that because he is honest. Pretty much every boxer must get hurt or days at some point during nearly every match wouldnt you think? Of course, most of these tough guys will keep their poker face and refused to admit it. That's my opinion anyway

 

I think Manny was saying (in his very thick accent) that there was a "good, solid punch" that hurt him during the fight. When he says "I'm hurt", I don't think he meant that he was hurt at the time of the interview, but rather that he was hurt after whatever punch it was, that he was referring to. I see this more as a grammatical ("tense") issue, than anything else.

I know he was hurt at least twice in that first fight and if he wasn't such a bad a$$ he would've been beaten to death. the very first round he was hit with a full blown chino over hand side pitch of a bomb. I seen his legs go WTF was I just hit with. didn't see it or expect it, if Floyd was going down that was the shot that was going to do it.
