It was 52/48. The fight nearly fell through at one stage.

He didn't. Pacquiao's team got 52/48 in favour of them, if I am remembering correctly.

They made it clear the fight would not be signed if they didn't get the higher percentage.

And Hatton was still a huge draw at the time.

I read from somewhere (ON ESB) that Hatton pushed for 50/50 and Arum wanted Manny to take it out of desperation for this fight.

PAC is still not huge...if he is huge how come his fights doesn't even come with free rooms, buffets, and limo rides from the airport.

He didn't I think it was like 40/60 for pac but the UK PPV went pretty much all to hatton. Then Pac found out howmuch money was in the UK PPV and what a screw job it was not getting any of it so he decided to change the deal and make it 45/55 on everything (UK PPV included) for him. Hatton thought he should be getting at least 50% of everything because he was the bigger money maker at the time. Pac wouldn't have it. They settled at 48/52 and the fight went down.

Me thinks this thread has an agenda.....

hatton had 950k w/ floyd, and pac had 1.2, or 1.1 w/ oscar. . so i guess 52/48 was right.

I remember back then, Pac's back to back fights with De La Hoya, Hatton and Cotto.

They get crapped on now(Undeservady) but at the time. Those 3 fights were epic.
