Why did Mannys ppv ratings drop so much after he lost to Bradley and JMM

cause they bought into the hype and propaganda that manny was some sort of a deity

 

He then went on to fight JMM and did better numbers then Bradley. It's not that his fans left him, its people just don't want to pay for fights like Rios and Algieri. People have gotten to the point where their not going to pay for non ppv caliber fights.

 

In the same way album sales aren't dictated by the fans who buy the album, ppv buys aren't dictated by the fans. There are ulterior forces at play here.

People pay to see elite fighters give elite performances - Same reason Mayweather's numbers have dropped off since he went to Showtime (w/ the obvious exception being Canelo.

Hard to get the people (mainstream or hardcore) to pay $65-75 to watch "elite" boxersin their late 30's fight.

Thats why this coming fight cannot match SRL v. Hearns, DLH v. Tito, Duran v. Leonard. Those were prime legends banging it out. A 36yr old vs a 38yr old? please.

 

Mayweather is currently the best fighter in the world p4p and Manny is still in the top 5 truthfully. So..... it is an elite matchup amongst current champions.
