Why did Margarito get his license back and not Panama Lewis?

Margarito was caught attempting. Resto was caught using, right after the fight.

You guys really should watch the whole documentary. Not only did Resto remove the padding from the glove, but his whole handwrap was dipped in plaster according to him in the last portions of the show. Margarito was caught attempting to use small hardened pads, not using.

 

What Lewis did was FAR FAR FAR worse. He took all the stuffing out of the gloves, and put actual plaster over the wraps (not a tiny insert) on top of that, and Resto actually fought Collins and gave him career-ending injuries. There's really very little comparison.

 

It doesn't mean he used them either. You cannot prosecute because you think he might have used them. It doesn't work that way.

We can all think he's guilty and be convinced 99% but the commission have to base their finding on factual evidence.

 

I agree that Margarito should not have gotten his license back; but c'mon what Panama did was far worst. According to Resto, Lewis remove padding from the gloves and dipped his wrapped hands into plaster.

 

If his hands were wrapped in his sleep.... yes innocent. When you watch your trainer wrap your hands... guilty.

 

The illegal substance was within the pads, which themselves are within a fighters wraps. And Margarito would not have felt anything different, never mind see it. That has been backed up by some of the world's best trainers.

This is what annoys me about the Margarito case. People look at damage he has done to opponents, get flustered and start flinging accusations left, right and center.

 

Don't forget about Margarito and Garcia making jokes about it on Pac-Marg 24/7. Remember that.

Margarito was trying to protect himself against a steroid cheating Mosley the night he fought him.
Margo was trying to "level out the playing field" cause Mosley was CHEATING with EPO Steroids.

 

The commsion are the ones that missed the illegal substance ..Like I said before it was Mosely's trainer who found the foreign object not the commsion ..

Thats why the fight had been noved from Vegas to California, cause Mosley was gonna be tested for EPO Steroids before the fight.

The Margo-Mosley fight was supposed to take place in Vegas, but 2 months before the fight, a Federal Judge (US District Judge Susan Illston) released Mosley EPO Blood Doping calendar to the public, (out of concern for Margarito's well-being), so that everyone can see how and where Mosley injects EPO Steroids through his stomach and uses the "clear cream" to avoid detection.
After Mosley doping calender was realeased and Nevada Commissioner-Keith Kizer saw it, Kizer later warned Mosley that he would be blood tested for EPO Steroids before fighting Margarito.

Thats why Mosley told his promoters-DelaHoya and Shaeefer to move the fight to California, cause Cali DOES NOT test for EPO, cause EPO can only be caught with blood tests within 42 hirs of use because after 42 hrs EPO disinetgrates in the blood stream and leaves no traces.
Cali only does urine tests, and urine tests DO NOT detect EPO steroids.

Thats why Margarito tried to use plaster inserts, and even the Cali commission officers had allowed Margo to try to use plaster inserts cause tehy all knew that Margo was being cheated, and by his very own promoter-Arum, cause Arum knew Mosley was on EPO Steroids, but went along with the flow, cause Arum made a profit % of the subsequent Mayweather Jr. vs. Mosley fight, through DelaHoya's crooked "under the table" deal.

Guilty people don't do that. At the end of the day he entered the Mosley fight clean just like every other as far as qualifiesd officials and opposing trainers were concerned, plus Capetillo said Marg knew nothing about his stunt. The way the media blew this up and directed toward the FIGHTER was really unfair, Antonio was never proven guilty of something that never even happened. If Pacquiao can succesfully sue people for sharing their opinion of "something's fishy", the Mexican could sue the **** out of Dan Rafael and company for defamation for calling him Margocheatoe 1000x on ESPN's public chat.

And at the end of the day I even have my doubts about Capetillo's attempted method, which was to put the single layer of gauze into water with some plaster of Paris and put that wet thin layer over the knuckles. Since they are hard anyway and fully padded, normal gloves were supposed to put over it, is there ANY notable effect of this trick? Has anyone tried to replicate it and compare power with normal and Capetillo wraps both covered with legal gloves?
