Why did Margarito get his license back and not Panama Lewis?

Listen there are some reasonable points made by both sides in this argument, and it is argued regularly.

You, however, seem incapable of taking in other points.

Let me explain one more time.

Luis Resto knew. Panama Lewis knew. Both Capetillo and Margarito accept that Margarito did not know.

Luis Resto had the padding removed from his gloves. He subsequently punched Collins around with effectively his bare knuckles encased in leather. Margarito was found before a fight, to have some substance, that is yet to be confirmed. It contained traces of elements found in plaster of paris, but also found in many, many other products.

Before the fight with Collins, Resto was not known for such power. Margarito has hurt people before and after he was trained by Capetillo and that Mosley incident. For instance, he destroyed Sergio Martinez, without Capetillo's training. He put Robert Garcia down in the 1st round, without Capetillo's training. And he busted Manny Pacquiao up whilst barley winning a round, seen below.

The fact is this. The evidence against Margarito was nigh on threadbare. Hence he was banned for a year. If anything it was a warning ban, a just-in-case ban. If he was found to have anything dangerous, or to have known of any wrongdoing, he would be retired by now.

"Attempting" is not the same as "committing", Margarito got caught "trying" to do what Resto actually got caught "doing."



As far as I am concerned they are both scum and both deserve the same, but it is not my decision to make, but Margarito should have been banned for life here in the States...

 

This is the biggest insult to the Human intelligence if any one actually believes this with a straight face I would bet that as a child they went to the Special Day Class, and rode on the little Bus to school.

Resto and Lewis were banned after being caught cheating. Margarito was never caught cheating.

Well it's up to you if you believe it or not.

Pretty much every top trainer you could care to name says it is possible. Everyone with a rough knowledge of how hand-wraps work understands it is possible. The pad's were said to be "harder than your average pad", but the commission didn't spot this until they forcibly removed them themselves at Naazim's behest. If professional's couldn't, it is entirely possible Margarito did not know.

Why would Margarito remove his gloves and sometimes even his hand-wraps at the end of all fights I remember watching of him, if he was aware of wrongdoing in their putting together? If your talking common-sense, that surely makes almost none?

Margarito was said to have offered his hand's to the commission when their was a commotion, this is a complete contrast to Resto who physically pulled away when Collins Sr. spotted something odd with his gloves. Again, common-sense? A knowing cheat offering his hands to be re-wrapped? Not much sense at all.

Of course the system is based on what you can prove. I by no means wish to have a conversation about law, because I could offer next to nothing on the subject, but if their is little evidence of wrongdoing/knowledge of wrongdoing, how can you take someone's livelihood away?
